All I wanted was to trade my green plastic chair for a yellow plastic chair. After searching for ages, I went into this trading store and hooray! They had a yellow plastic chair. I had to go through a number of Teleporters before I finally got into the line. After waiting a very long time, I was able to trade my chair. The owner clearly did not know his prices and charged me way too much for a simple trade. After the word noob was tossed around a lot, I was kicked and left empty handed. I want to stop this happening to other Habbos, so here are a few tips for running a successful Trading Shop.
1) Know your prices
There is nothing more annoying than an owner not knowing the prices of normal furni and Rares, so do some research. Many Habbo AU fansites have Rare values for all Rares ever released, and the cost of normal furni is easy, just check the Catalogue.
2) You don’t need to use the word “noob”
Some Habbos are not as bright as other Habbos, but name calling is never nice. If you have a difficult customer or someone who does not understand, be patient and try to explain things in a cool, calm way. Your customers will be happier and may recommend your store to other pixels.
3) There is no need for Teleporters
Having many teleports before Habbos can actually get into the line is pointless. Just have one line, directly from the door. It will make Habbos not so annoyed when they finally get their turn to trade. But what if I have too much furni to fit in one room? Just keep it in your hand, and let your customers know.
4) Have the right attitude
Keep things on the happy side by not fighting with your customers. Also, trade with the best interest for the customer - that means if you know something is worth three credits and they are offering something worth fifteen credits, tell them. They will be happier and appreciate that you didn’t rip them off. Again, they may recommend your trading store to others.
5) Be happy
Be that trading store owner that pixels know they can trust. Keep things happy and you will have a successful trading store in no time.
I hope this helps all traders and trading shop owners. Happy trading.
