No, don’t think that just because the Habbolympics have started that the scammers will stop attacking - it’s not like in the old days, when the ancients stopped the war to watch the Olympic Games peacefully! It’s exactly the opposite - they will try to scam you even more, especially with these new delicious pieces of furniture now in the Catalogue.
So it’s time to remember some tips because your running skills aren’t enough to stay safe from scammers:
1. Never reveal your password to anyone, no matter who he or she is. Even your best friend can disappoint you! Keep it to yourself as if it was your energetic chocolate bar, and trust me, you are going to need it for the Habbolympics!
2. There is no such thing as free credits. The only way you can get them are by buying with your own money, trading for exchange, or winning competitions made by Habbo staff. Don’t forget to stay tuned, because this week there are going to be a lot of competitions going on about the Habbolympics!
3. Don’t access any websites that seem suspicious - there’s a high probability that you are falling in hacker’s hands. Instead of that, report that website to the Moderators - they have a specialised team that will take care of it for you.
4. Don’t accept any file transfers outside Habbo Hotel - that includes your e-mail too! If you receive a nice e-mail saying that you have got an e-card waiting for you, that e-card is probably a keylogger so don’t download it or access any link that they tell you to.
5. Have fun! After all that is the only reason that Habbo Hotel was created for. Enjoy your time with friends, make the most incredible rooms, play with your pets, join BattleBall, SnowStorm, Wobble Squabble and Diving games to start skilling up for the Habbolympics!
Move those lazy pixels for the event of the year, remember there’s only one every four years! Stay safe! :)
