So, you’ve just accepted a job at one of the many popping up diners across Habbo? Well, don’t think serving and taking Habbo’s orders is a piece of cake (unless that’s what they ordered) because you need to know what attitude to bring, what to say and how to be the best damn employee you can be!
Lesson 1: Uniform
Most diners will have their own code of uniform you must follow - the colours and styles will differ in most diners. But what about the rest of your uniform? Your hair? Accessories? Just follow these rules and you’ll come out looking fabulous!
Hair: Keep it tidy, tie it back and make sure it doesn’t hang over your face (or in the food, eew!) Accessories: Nothing too scrappy, keep it simple - a bow or bowtie will do just fine! The simplest things can come out the best you know!
Lesson 2: Manners
How would you feel if the person that served you at a diner or cafe in real life ignored you, spoke to you rudely or treated you like garbage? Not very good and not to mention neither would your boss! Here are some tips to give you the general idea of how to act when talking to anyone in the diner:
*Smile - When you smile, you send out a warm vibe that helps people you don’t know feel comfortable talking to you.
*Speak clearly - It is very frustrating when you don’t know what the other person is saying and it would help a lot if you spelt things correctly (don’t say things like ‘ma oi tak ur ordr?’). This will speed up the ordering process, making it easier for other customers.
Lesson 3: Lingo
Haven’t got a clue what to say to the customers and when? Have no fear, just follow this simple guide:
You say: Hello, welcome to (diner name ), may I take your order?
Customer: I’ll have.....
You say: Great choice, I’ll put that order in right away!
Customer: Thankyou!
You say: You’re welcome, enjoy your meal!
It’s as simple as that! Now you know what to do in order to keep your fellow Habbos happy, your boss happy and yourself happy when working in the diner!
