With Australia’s current love of crime series such as Underbelly, CSI and City Homicide, it was only a matter of time before someone tried to cash in on Habbo’s Bobba Street. Rife with dodgy scammers and underworld gangs, it’s no secret that Bobba Street’s not somewhere you want to venture alone. However, one man is determined to take it on with your help.
Meet Ron “Scoop” McMan - a failed journalist turned director who is determined to turn the Bobba Street happenings into a doco/drama. The mysterious Flaming Skulls Production Company is backing Scoop’s project and over the next three weeks they’ll be recruiting people to help get the show aired. They need everyone from scriptwriters and actors, to advertisers and audience members so come one, come all and take part!
Your first challenge has arrived. A body has been discovered in an alleyway on Bobba Street, but how did it get there and more importantly who’s responsible for it? This is just the scandal Scoop needs to get his story off the ground!
Using the new Streets of Bobba furni now available in the Catalogue, your job is to reconstruct the murder scene in your room and help create the series’ first episode.
The old gangs (HAQS, FBB, PTU and LBB) that used to rule Bobba Street have faded into obscurity and now the mean streets are controlled by five main (as yet, unnamed) groups. The businesspeople, the gangsters, the law, the rockers and the scientists. Head to the new group page for a snapshot of Bobba Street. Were one of these groups involved in this blood-curdling crime?
How to Enter:
- Think up a storyline to get Scoop’s doco-drama started and then recreate it in your room.
- Your entry must include at least one of the groups from Bobba Street plus some short dialogue
- Send your screenshot to competitions.au@sulake.com
- Include in your email any further explanation of your scene if needed
- Don’t forget to include your Habbo name
From your entries Scoop will decide what direction his story will take.
Prizes: There’s 150 Habbo Credits up for grabs for the winning scene plus runners-up prizes of SOB Furni and Credits. Entries close 9am Friday 19th September. Good luck!
