Games Etiquette

Play Nice

With the increase of BattleBall (BB) and SnowStorm (SS) players due to the introduction of free games, I feel its time to give Habbos a reminder of the rules and their manners when it comes to playing the new games.

New players (otherwise affectionately known as "noobs")
Everybody has to start somewhere and it’s the same for BB and SS. When playing with a new player and they make a mistake or, in the case of BB, don’t know what to do with a power-up rather than shouting "stupid noob" at them just explain to them nicely what they should do next time. Practice makes perfect and the more you tell a new player, the better they become and can be a valuable asset for your team.

"No steals"
When playing BB many Habbos request at the start of the game that any squares a Habbo has bounced on is not to be bounced on by the other team. This request constitutes a "verbal agreement" and by disobeying this agreement will not only make the other player/s unhappy but can also ruin a player/s strategy for their game. In short, no steals means no steals.

Sportsmanship
Remember, BB and SS are games, so someone has to win and unfortunately someone has to lose. If you do happen to lose, congratulate the other team and thank them for a good game. If, in your eyes, the game wasn’t “good” the worst thing you can do is to abuse the other team by calling them names or accusing them of being cheats because this is not only bad sportsmanship but can also cause greater problems in the future which may lead to an argument.

Strategies
Many Habbos have formed teams who play BB and SS together and may have devised strategies to play. If a player on the other team does ruin your strategy, don’t call them a "noob" or start abusing them, deal with it. Everyone has their own way of playing and by abusing the other team it will only make it worse.

Well I hope all Habbos have learnt something and my number one rule is to have fun!
