Are you a Habbo that wants to make a successful trading room but you’re completely clueless? Then this is the article for you - a step-by-step guide about making a successful trading room.
1. Make a decision - first of all, think about what type of trading room you want yours to be. If it’s a Creds only shop, Rare trades room, norm trades room or a R&N (Rares and norms).
2. Making the room - once you have decided what type of trading room it’s going to be, you must create it. Make sure it has enough space for the furni you are going to trade. Name the room appropriately and make sure you have put it in the “Trading and Furni Shops” category.
3. Arranging the furni - have some dividers ready to make the queue boundary. Place the furni you are selling/trading down. Remember to put the rugs, tiles or mats down first as you cannot put them down if there is furni in the way. Arrange your furni neatly, as it will attract more customers.
4. Share the news - send an invitation to your list about your new shop/trades room. Don’t go around to other trading rooms and yell for them to come to your room as you will probably get kicked, no one will come and you wouldn’t like it if someone tried to steal your customers.
5. First customers - when you get your first customers greet them in a nice and friendly way. Don’t type in caps lock as it looks like you are angry and makes people feel uncomfortable. Greet your customers by their name as it makes them feel welcome. Ask them what they need and what they offer for it. If you don’t like their offer tell them nicely and ask if they need anything else.
6. Crowded shop - if there are heaps of Habbos in your room waiting for their turn or telling you to hurry up, don’t panic. Ignore them and concentrate on serving the person that is at the front of the queue.
7. Time to go - when you still have many customers but you have to go, warn them. Tell your customers that you can only serve a maximum amount of people and then you have to go offline or meet someone at another room. Then close the shop and leave.
I hope this guide has helped you with your trading room troubles. Good luck!
