How do I trade furniture?

Habbo has a secure trading system, you can trade items without fear of them being stolen.

To trade with another Habbo just click on them and a 'trade' button will appear under their name on the bottom right hand side of the Habbo window. If you click the 'trade' button a window will pop-up and you can drag the item you wish to trade from your hand to the window. When you are happy with the trade tick the 'I agree' box.

Why can't I trade in some rooms?

You can't trade in Public Rooms and you can only trade in certain Guest Rooms that have been placed in the trading categories.

Do I have to trade?

No, trading is optional. If anyone is trying to force you to trade with them you should send a 'Call for Help' and report them, then leave the room.

Can I get free furni by trading?

No! Habbos will often claim they can double your furni if you trade it to them, this is a lie and they are trying to steal your furni. If someone tries this then you should send a 'Call for Help' and report them, then leave the room.

Can someone double/triple my furni by trading me?

No they are trying to steal your furni, you should send a 'Call for Help' and report them, then leave the room.

What are items worth?

There is no guide to what items of furni are worth, they are worth whatever you are willing to accept or pay for them. The rare values are made by the community and for a guide you can see our Official Fan Sites for Furni Values.

Note:When trading furni, the value of a piece of furni is only worth what you are willing to trade for it and what the seller is willing to accept as a trade.

Can I trade in Public Rooms?

No you can only trade in guest rooms.

I used to be able to trade but now I can't! What happened?

It's probably because you do not have the trading pass and therefore you are not eligible to trade according to the new trading rules.

How can I get the trading pass?

You have to fulfill the following criteria:
  1. - You need to have verified your email.
  2. - Your account is at least 3 days old.
  3. - You have been online for atleast 1 hour since the beginning of February 2009

I just received my trading pass. Do I need to do anything else?

No. Once you receive your trading pass, you do not need to do anything else, trading is automatically turned on. As always, trading can only be done in guest rooms on a Trading floor.

I have been waiting for a while now but I still have yet to receive my verification email. What happened?

Certain free emails services, such as Hotmail, may take as long as a day to receive emails from other services. Please be patient.

If you haven't received a verification email in your Inbox for several daysl, check your Junk Mail folder. Hotmail automatically deletes emails in that folder after 5 days, so it's a good idea to check daily.

Also check your junk mail settings to make sure it's not deleting junk mail immediately.

I fulfill the criteria to receive a trading pass but I still cannot trade. What is wrong?

Best thing to do is check your Account Settings and check whether you have enabled Trading and/or received your trading pass.

Please note it takes 24 hrs for you to receive your trading pass after you have enabled this in your account settings.

Where can I edit my security settings?

Just go into your account settings.

Can I enable and disable trading?

Yes you can, but please remember that when you enable trading, it takes 24 hours to change. Disablement takes place immediately.

Why does it take 24 hrs to enable trading?

This is a security measure. This gives you enough time to change your mind and disable it, or in the case of theft your furni may still be saved.

Are there any changes to trading in game?

The only thing that has changed would be that you can see your furniture more clearly. By moving the cursor over the furniture in the trade box you will be able to see a bigger preview of the furniture.

What would happen if I attempted to trade and I gave not enabled trading?

The trading action will be canceled and you will need to go into your Account settings then your Security settings to enable trading.

How do I know if I or the other user can or cannot trade?

When attempting to trade you will receive a warning on the side of your trade box. This will either say you will need to enable your trading or that the user does not have their trading enabled.

If the other user cannot trade you will need to wait 24 hrs until they are able to. Please do not fall for scams where the user will say to trade your furni right now, whilst they will trade you when they get their trading pass. You can be scammed!

Can I still receive gifts even if I cannot trade?

Yes, you are still able to receive and buy gifts for other users without having your trading enabled.

The other user's trading is disabled. Can I still give him/her a piece of furni?

Yes you can, but remember, it is considered a gift.

I don't like these new trading rules. Why have they been introduced?

In Habbo we have always been against scamming of any kind. Since 32% of Habbos feel that they've been scammed by another user while trading in game, we have decided to introduce a safer way of trading.

Through this method we are able to give you an extra level of security in protecting your furniture from account theft, alert you when another user cannot trade and allow you to clearly see exactly what you are trading for.

TIP: As an extra safety precaution if you are taking some time off Habbo due to school commitments or holidays best thing to do is switch off your Trading.
